The largest non-profit organization in the gambling sector in Bulgaria – the Association of Organizers of Gambling Games and Activities in Bulgaria (AOGGAB, in Bulgarian СОХИДБ), has taken an important step in its development. In September 2024, the association became a member of European Gaming and Amusement Federation (EUROMAT).

The chairman of AOGGAB (СОХИДБ) comments on the EUROMAT Membership

“Joining forces with our European colleagues is yet another significant achievement for AOGGAB. This will strengthen our organization’s influence in the gaming business environment, not only in Bulgaria but across Europe. Being a member of EUROMAT offers us a unique opportunity for collaboration with other federation partners, facilitating the exchange of experience and best practices. This will have a positive impact on the development of the industry in Bulgaria and the region. Thanks to this partnership, we will be able to place the issues of Bulgarian operators on the agenda in the European context!” stated Milen Totev, Chairman of AOGGAB.

EUROMAT – A leader in the European gaming sector

EUROMAT was established in 1979, and today it includes 14 associations from 11 European countries, representing leading companies in the continent’s gaming industry. The federation’s primary goal is to defend the interests of its members and foster constructive dialogue with the European Union and other relevant institutions and bodies, to ensure optimal conditions for the sustainable development of the gaming sector and related activities.

In addition, EUROMAT plays a key role in providing accurate and up-to-date information about the gaming industry to the general public, European media organizations, and national administrative bodies. The federation also assists its members in developing socially responsible practices, actively promoting ethical behaviour and increased transparency in the gaming industry.

These activities support the organization’s core mission of creating a favourable environment for the development of gaming, while adhering to high standards of corporate and social responsibility.

AOGGAB’s membership in EUROMAT highlights the Bulgarian gaming community’s commitment to implementing the highest standards of responsible gaming and transparency. This move signals a clear ambition for balanced sector development, combining economic growth with social responsibility and ethical business practices.
